Her sublime voice is a thing of beauty that stops people in their tracks. Fragile and ethereal one minute and strong and vibrant the next, Dublin Folk singer-songwriter Aoife Scott has become a force to be reckoned with on the Irish folk and traditional scene.
With an impeccable pedigree as a member of the legendary Black Family, which includes her mother Frances and her aunt Mary, Aoife is steadily rising to the top of the traditional and folk music scene, while garnering acclaim and recognition both here and abroad as she hones her craft.
2017 has been a hugely successful year for Aoife. Following the successful release of her song "Grace", with her cousins Danny O Reilly and Róisín O, which went straight to #1 on iTunes charts in March, and having headlined Folk and Irish Festivals all over the world – which includes Port Fairy Folk Festival (AU) The National Folk Festival (AU), Milwaukee Irish Festival (US) and Temple Bar Trad Fest Dublin (IE)
The December Letter is a song written for a loved one or family member who can't be home for Christmas Time. It is a heart lifting thought sent out to all who have emigrated from Ireland, delivering memories with the binding warmth of an Irish Christmas.
